Hilliard Law: Federal Judge Certifies Five-State Classes in Ford CP4 Fuel Pump Lawsuit
Classes certified in five states for 6.7L diesel owners over alleged CP4 pump failures
A federal judge has certified classes in California, Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and South Carolina in litigation over the CP4 high-pressure fuel pump used in certain Ford 6.7-liter diesel trucks, according to Hilliard Law, and largely denied Ford's bid for summary judgment.
The plaintiffs allege the pump can fail in a way that disables the truck, with repair bills plaintiffs put in the $8,000 to $20,000 range. The certification lets the claims from owners in those five states move forward together.
