Pioneer Launches SPHERA, the World's First Aftermarket Spatial Audio In-Dash Receiver

Experience the breakthrough aftermarket solution bringing immersive Dolby Atmos sound to vehicles already on the road, showcased at CES

LAS VEGAS — Pioneer introduced SPHERA (model DMH-WT8000NEX), billed as the first aftermarket in-dash receiver to play Dolby Atmos spatial audio through Apple CarPlay. The unit delivers the Atmos effect through a vehicle's existing front and rear speakers using an optimized four-channel setup, so no extra height speakers are needed. Pioneer's PURE Autotuning calibration adjusts time alignment, frequency response, and channel levels to suit each cabin's acoustics. The receiver centers on a 10.1-inch HD capacitive touchscreen with split-screen mode, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a light bar that syncs with music. It was shown at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, with spring availability through authorized retailers starting at $1,300.
