SEGULA Technologies and REE Automotive Present at the Paris Motor Show an Industrial Partnership to Develop Modular Body-on-Skateboard Vehicles Adapted to Specific Needs
PARIS, FRANCE — SEGULA Technologies and REE Automotive have announced an industrial partnership to develop modular body-on-skateboard vehicles, presented at the Paris Motor Show.
The partnership combines REE Automotive's P7-C skateboard chassis, a flat by-wire platform with electronic steering, braking and drive systems, with SEGULA Technologies' vehicle engineering and body development capability. The concept pairs a standard skateboard chassis with bodies adapted to specific customer needs, aimed at commercial and specialty vehicle applications where one platform has to serve several different uses.
The companies presented the partnership at the Paris Motor Show as a route to shorter development programs for low-volume and specialized vehicles, since the body and the running chassis can be developed largely independently of each other.
