This Industry First Changes Everything for Truck-Mounted Forklifts in Canada

TORONTO — Atlas Polar Company Limited has announced the Moffett NX2 with GroundMount Plus, a safety system the company says has never been seen on a truck-mounted forklift. Three buttons on the side of the forklift, Lift, Retract and Lower, let the forklift be mounted and dismounted from the truck at curbside, away from traffic, so the operator no longer has to climb on and off the forklift to mount or dismount it.

Other NX2 features include a Class III fork carriage designed to let the operator see through the fork rails, strobe beacons above the overhead guards, a work-light system for 360-degree visibility, a rear steering-angle spindle providing 180-degree steering, and a 3.5-inch HD heated colour display with IP67 protection. The models also carry the CoverNGo retractable seat cover.

Atlas Polar said the Moffett M8 NX2 models are being rolled out in Ontario and through authorized dealers across Canada, including four-way multidirectional and Pantograph reach versions aimed at building supply, construction, landscaping and general transport work. (summary body)
