Wallbox launches new Pulsar Max, bringing enhanced connectivity and future-ready charging
The new generation of Pulsar Max introduces ISO 15118-ready hardware designed to support evolving European AFIR charging requirements, alongside built-in RFID and Ethernet connectivity
BARCELONA, SPAIN — Wallbox has launched a new generation of its Pulsar Max compact AC charger in Europe, aimed at homes and shared residential buildings. The updated model adds ISO 15118-ready hardware with an integrated power line communication layer, preparing it for future vehicle-to-charger communication and smart charging functions linked to evolving European AFIR requirements. Built-in RFID authentication lets different users be identified and managed, while Ethernet connectivity joins the existing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options and allows installers to link multiple chargers on one local network. The charger is offered in tethered 7.4 kW and 22 kW versions and a 22 kW socket version, all managed through the Wallbox app. It retains intelligent energy management, including charging from surplus solar power, and carries a five-year warranty. Wallbox says availability across European markets will begin progressively from November 2026, building on more than 600,000 chargers already sold from the Pulsar platform worldwide.
