Westport Rebrands as Aetherion™ Technologies, Focused on Accelerating Proven Solutions for Heavy-Duty Clean Transport

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Westport Fuel Systems announced it has changed its name to Aetherion Technologies Inc., reflecting a focus on commercially ready technology for lower-emission heavy-duty transport. The company says its fuel systems deliver diesel-grade performance and economics on cleaner fuels using existing engine platforms, including its HPDI fuel system through Cespira, its joint venture with Volvo Group, which it says operates in more than 12,000 trucks. The portfolio also includes high-pressure CNG storage, systems and controls supporting natural gas, renewable natural gas and hydrogen. Shares are expected to begin trading under the new name on TSX and Nasdaq on or about October 23, 2026 under AETR, subject to approvals.
