Black Forge will debut RuggedGate, a patent-pending steel tailgate cap, at the 2026 SEMA Show.
Every late-model pickup carries a plastic cap across the top edge of the tailgate, a cosmetic part in a structural spot whose clips work loose until it tears off. RuggedGate installs over the existing cap, cracked, broken or already gone, with no drilling and no adhesive: eight pre-stamped holes land on the factory access-plate screw locations, and the original screws hold it down.
