Pistons & Ink is an automotive media and product company in Ocala, Florida, run by people who have spent their careers inside this industry. The work takes three forms: stories, software and tools, and all three answer to the same standard. If we publish it, we can show our work.
The stories come first. Automotive Files releases a new short documentary every weekday, each one researched from the historical record and illustrated only with photography we have verified the license on, credited on screen. When a number cannot be sourced, the episode does not say it. That discipline is slower than the alternative, and it is why the series keeps the trust of the people it covers.
The software grew out of problems we kept watching the community hit. Car Show Logic gives grassroots show organizers the registration, judging and ticketing system that used to require a clipboard, a spreadsheet and a long night. PistonsPR gives aftermarket companies a free place to publish their news, because a two-person shop with a real product story deserves the same shelf space as a national brand. Wrench & Lens lists automotive creators for free and lets clients contact them directly, with no middleman and no cut.
And the tools are free because they should be. The Digital Toolbox covers the math and fitment questions builders ask every day, from tire sizing and gear ratios to factory radio wire colors. Every chart in it is researched from real fitment and installer sources, and where honest data does not exist, the tool shows the gap instead of filling it with a guess. A wrong answer delivered confidently costs somebody a weekend; we would rather show you the edge of the map.
