DEWALT said its DALE fleet-capable downward drilling robot, developed with August Robotics, was named a winner in Fast Company's 2026 Next Big Things in Tech Awards, with DEWALT the only tool manufacturer recognized. In pilot use for data center construction, the robot was reported to drill faster than conventional methods, with high accuracy across a large number of holes, plus fast-swap batteries, remote monitoring, dust extraction and AI-driven quality checks.
