FREELANDER Debuts International Five-Seat FREELANDER 8 and Announces AI Voice Assistant at FREELANDER Nightfall

SHANGHAI — FREELANDER displayed the international five-seat version of FREELANDER 8 for the first time at FREELANDER Nightfall in Wuhu, held as part of the 2026 Chery International User Summit. Alongside the six-seat version, the five-seat layout gives customers a choice of two-row and three-row seating. The brand confirmed FREELANDER 8 is expected to launch in the UAE in the first quarter of 2027.

The brand also announced an AI Voice Assistant powered by a large language model. The intelligent cockpit of FREELANDER 8 uses a Qualcomm SA8295P automotive-grade chip, a 46.3-inch Mini LED far-side screen, and L2+ driver assistance as standard. Design highlights presented at the event included the Castle-Style Body Design, the Yacht-Style Waistline and the Iconic Triangle Window.

FREELANDER also signed partnership agreements with EK Kanoo Group in Bahrain and Saud Bahwan Group in Oman, extending its Middle East network alongside its UAE dealer partners Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors.
