leagend Redefines the Jump Starter with Permanent Onboard Starting Assistance

Designed to stay onboard, the leagend SuperCap Jump Starter Series uses AI Self-Learning Mode for automatic support and Forced Start Mode for manual control.

SAO PAULO, FL — Traditional jump starters are typically portable emergency devices used when a vehicle fails to start. The leagend SuperCap Jump Starter Series takes a different approach by bringing starting assistance directly into the vehicle. Designed for permanent onboard installation, the system remains connected to the vehicle's electrical system, allowing it to replenish stored energy and provide starting assistance when needed.

Building on this onboard design, AI Self-Learning Mode helps manage everyday starting assistance automatically, while Forced Start Mode offers an additional manual option for special situations. Together, these functions transform the conventional jump starter concept into an intelligent onboard starting-assistance system for the global automotive aftermarket.

Permanent Onboard Installation: Changing How Starting Assistance Works

The defining feature of the leagend SuperCap Jump Starter Series is its permanent onboard installation. Instead of being stored separately until an emergency occurs, the system remains connected to the vehicle's starting battery, making starting assistance available as part of everyday vehicle operation. Once installed, the system draws available energy from the vehicle's starting battery to charge its supercapacitors. During engine cranking, the stored energy provides additional starting support, helping reduce the discharge load on the original battery. After the engine starts, the vehicle's charging system replenishes electrical energy, allowing the onboard unit to recharge its supercapacitors automatically under suitable operating conditions.

Supercapacitor technology provides the energy-storage foundation for this design. Unlike conventional portable jump starters that rely on built-in rechargeable batteries, the leagend SuperCap Jump Starter Series uses supercapacitors to store and rapidly release energy. The series is also designed to deliver stable, reliable starting assistance across a specified operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C, with low standby power consumption that makes the system suitable for long-term onboard use.

AI Self-Learning Mode: Intelligent Management for Everyday Starting

Following installation and the initial charge, the system monitors battery voltage and engine cranking behavior during the vehicle's initial starts. It uses this information to establish a vehicle-specific baseline and recognize the vehicle's normal starting characteristics. Based on the learned information and monitored operating conditions, AI Self-Learning Mode helps the system determine when additional starting assistance is needed. During normal operation, drivers continue to start their vehicles as usual while the system works in the background.

Forced Start Mode: Additional Control When Needed

Through the device or Smart App, users can manually initiate starting assistance using energy stored in the supercapacitors, provided sufficient energy is available and the required operating conditions are met. When the vehicle's starting battery cannot supply sufficient energy to replenish the supercapacitors, external USB-C charging provides another option.

Drive Mode and Smart App Monitoring

When enabled, Drive Mode allows the supercapacitor bank to serve as a short-duration energy buffer while the engine is running, helping respond to brief electrical load fluctuations under supported operating conditions. Through the Smart App, users can access vehicle battery voltage, supercapacitor status, device temperature, starting and discharge records, historical information and alerts for unusual conditions.

A Model Range for Different Vehicle Applications

The leagend SuperCap Jump Starter Series includes four models: the JS200 for selected 12V passenger vehicles including sedans and SUVs; the JS300 for a broader range of compatible 12V passenger vehicles and SUVs; the JS400 for more demanding 12V starting applications including selected SUVs and performance vehicles; and the JS600 for suitable 24V commercial vehicle applications including trucks and buses.

"Permanent onboard installation changes how a jump starter is used. AI Self-Learning Mode helps manage everyday starting assistance, while Forced Start Mode provides a manual option when needed," said the leagend management team.
