LAKE HAVASU, AZ — As a Silver Partner and the Official Wheel Partner of Ford Racing Raptor Rally 003, Method Race Wheels unveiled the upcoming special edition 712 Flow Formed Bead Grip® at the event. Derived from Method's 207 T1+ Spec Forged Bead Grip® wheel developed for the Ford Racing Raptor T1+ rally-raid program, the 712 brings lessons learned through competition to a wheel engineered specifically for consumer trucks. Method Race Wheels supplies Bead Grip® Technology-equipped wheels across Ford Racing Raptor programs, including the Raptor T1+, developed by Ford Racing and M-Sport for the highest level of international rally-raid competition. Running Method 207 T1+ Spec Forged Bead Grip® wheels, the Raptor T1+ earned second and third overall at the 2026 Dakar Rally and followed with a second-place overall finish at the 2026 Vegas to Reno in its first race on American soil.
The new 712 translates engineering and design elements from that competition program into a wheel built for common truck applications. Flow Formed construction reduces weight while maintaining strength, while patented Bead Grip® Technology, competition-derived design and a 2,650-pound load rating deliver race-developed performance for everyday truck applications. The 712 is the lightest 17in wheel Method has produced at its 2,650-pound standard load rating.
The 712 carries its racing lineage into its design with a rally-inspired 12 "knuckle" spoke layout, reinforced inner lip derived from race testing, and an exclusive Dakar Proven® snap-in center cap. Patented Bead Grip® Technology uses integrated grooves to engage the tire bead for increased grip at low tire pressures, while aggressive safety humps provide additional protection against debeading. One-piece A356 aluminum construction with T6 heat treatment, hub-centric fitments and Method's industry-leading warranty round out a wheel engineered to deliver competition level performance for the consumer truck market.
This special edition wheel will be available in select fitments coming in Matte Black and Machined-Clear Coat finishes and 17x8.5in size.
