New AS220 is the first Falken tire with VARIO CORE technology, inside a broader upgraded winter lineup
Falken has placed its new EUROALL SEASON AS220 at the center of an upgraded winter tire range for the 2026-27 season, pitching the all-season pattern as dependable transport for compact cars, mid-size vehicles and SUVs. The AS220 is the first Falken tire to feature the brand's VARIO CORE technology, a package of measures intended to improve rolling resistance, wear and drive-by noise while supporting a safe driving experience across petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains. For winter grip, Snow Compaction Grooves are designed to retain snow in the tread to help traction on snow-covered roads, while Hydro Grooves move water away to support stability and braking in heavy rain. A temperature-stabilised rubber compound is meant to keep performance consistent in changing climates. The AS220 sits within a broader cold-weather lineup that also includes the AS220 PRO, WILDPEAK A/T models and the EUROWINTER HS02 and HS02 PRO, giving drivers options from everyday all-season use to more dedicated winter and all-terrain fitments.
