SUBARU TRAILSEEKER WINS SPOT IN WARDS 10 BEST ENGINES & PROPULSION SYSTEMS LIST

CAMDEN, N.J. — Subaru of America has announced that the Subaru Trailseeker has been named to the 2026 Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems list in its first year on sale. For this year's awards, Wards evaluated 26 powertrains, including returning winners and all-new or significantly updated systems, judging them on power, torque, refinement, efficiency and innovation. Judges praised the Trailseeker for smooth operation, usable range, available power and acceleration, describing its performance in traffic as muscle-car-like while noting that its real-world range held up well and its pricing remained reasonable for the capability offered. The Trailseeker is an all-electric, go-anywhere SUV that arrived in early 2026 with a starting price of 39,995 dollars. It uses dual electric motors producing 375 combined horsepower with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, offers 8.5 inches of ground clearance and up to 281 miles of range, and is powered by a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery with a standard NACS charge port and DC fast charging capability.
