Tesla Publishes New Roadster Specs After Reveal: Three Configurations, Cold-Gas Thrusters, Sub-Second 0-60 Claims
Updated Roadster page and Tesla's official posts list Performance, Thrust and Rocket configurations, with a claimed range over 300 miles

Tesla updated its official Roadster page and published the car's configurations on its verified X account following the October 15 reveal event, giving the production-intent electric sports car its first official written specs since the event was announced.
Tesla lists three configurations. Performance is the road version, with two seats, active aerodynamics and a multi-mode suction system, and a claimed 0-60 mph time under 1.6 seconds. Thrust is a limited-release, race-oriented version that adds rear cold-gas thrusters, with a claimed 0-60 mph time under 0.9 seconds. Rocket is invite-only and single-seat, with thrusters around the perimeter for forward and upward acceleration and lateral movement; Tesla footnotes that this version is not approved for public road use and is not available in all regions. Tesla claims a range over 300 miles and a top speed over 230 mph for the Rocket configuration.
According to Tesla, the suction system uses powered fans and a ground-sealing design intended to generate high downforce even at zero speed, and the thrusters make rapid adjustments to stabilize the car in flight. The cabin uses a steer-by-wire yoke, a center touchscreen and two smaller forward displays, with manual controls and a fixed seat position chosen to save weight, and magnesium, titanium and carbon fiber used throughout.
Reservations are open through Tesla's website. The Roadster page does not list a price, battery size, or a production or delivery date.
