AudioControl Expands EPIC and Altitude Speaker Lines with New Drivers and Big Subwoofers
AudioControl unveils their largest and most powerful EPIC subwoofers, the X5, new EPIC neodymium speakers, and expanded Altitude speaker sizes in a 62-speaker, 30,000-watt EPIC BUZZ build at SEMA 2026
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — St. Petersburg, Fla. – Oct. 26, 2026 – AudioControl, part of the Stinger family of brands, is expanding its EPIC and Altitude speaker lines with new speaker sizes and high-output subwoofers, including an all-new, first for the brand 15-inch subwoofer. The new products, some of the biggest and most powerful ever offered from AudioControl, will be showcased in the EPIC BUZZ, a Volkswagen ID. Buzz build featuring 62 speakers and 30,000 watts of AudioControl amplification, at the 2026 SEMA Show, Nov. 3–6, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
On display at Stinger’s Booth 10673 - North Hall, the EPIC BUZZ demonstrates the range of AudioControl’s new speaker products in a system designed to go from detailed listening inside the cabin to concert levels with the turn of knob. The vehicle showcases booming concert level sound capability both inside and outside the vehicle.
"The EPIC BUZZ is a showcase for AudioControl’s EPIC audio line and it debuts several new EPIC products,” said Gary Bell, Director of Audio for AudioControl. “Sit up front and you’ll hear a true quality sound system. Turn one knob and it’s a concert. Open the hatch and it fills the room. This range is what we wanted to show people through the EPIC BUZZ build.”
New EPIC Neodymium Speakers
AudioControl is expanding the EPIC speaker lineup with three new neodymium speaker models. The EPICPRO6NX 6.5-inch midrange drivers feature neodymium magnets and cast baskets and are installed throughout the EPIC BUZZ cabin. The build also features the new EPICPRO6HCX 6.5-inch horn-loaded compression drivers, designed to deliver high output for the vehicle’s rear-hatch sound system.
Introducing the EPIC X5 Subwoofers
The new EPIC X5 subwoofer line brings high-power bass performance to the EPIC lineup, with four (8,10,12,15) sizes and AudioControl’s first 15-inch subwoofer. The 15-inch model is rated at 2,000 watts RMS and will be available in Q1 2027. Eight EPIC X5 15-inch subwoofers power the low-frequency system in the EPIC BUZZ, housed in an enclosure behind the rear seats. Eight additional 8-inch subwoofers in the center console and four 10-inch drivers round out the system.
Built to Showcase the Full Audio System
The EPIC BUZZ pairs AudioControl’s new speaker products with 16 EPIC amplifiers delivering a combined 30,000 watts, with multiple AudioControl DSP tuning the system. Stinger Roadkill sound damping helps reduce unwanted road noise, while AudioControl EPIC and Studio series wiring connects it all.
